Style Trend Predictions for 2024
Written by Amiya B
With the fall/winter fashion circuit behind us, we took our time to analyse the shows and we found what we think will be the hottest style trends of the year. Some of these trends were not on our 2024 fashion bingo card but alas, here we are. Whether you love to experiment and enjoy testing each viral style or cherry-pick the fashion aesthetics that fit your personal vibe, the following five trends are worth a glance. And if you’re having trouble figuring out what suits you best, feel free to use our services and curate your dream closet in no time.
1. Sheers and Whites
Sheer and white ensembles were out and on display throughout the course of fashion week. While white is a staple in most wardrobes, the colour is making a comeback and it’s chicer than ever before. Sheer done right is a big style do and we’ve pulled our favourite sheer pieces that are easy to style. More than a couple of gorgeous sheer outfits on display at the Saint Laurent fall/winter show in Paris and if it’s good enough for Saint Laurent, it’s good enough for us.

2. Polo Prep
Who would’ve thought that polo prep would return to our closets? Well, if we’re being completely honest, we had an inkling that this trend would make a cameo this season. Trends come and go at a very fast pace and we are always looking for something more elevated than the last big aesthetic. The polo prep trend is very similar to the old money trend and some would argue that it has more of a fun appeal to it. Classy yet playful - polo prep may be here to stay.

3. Rosettes and Bows
Arguably one of the most talked about trends recently, the application of rosettes and bows to accessorise apparel is everything we wanted and more. With girlhood and divine femininity being at the forefront of many of the latest fashion shows, this aesthetic fits the current vibe of the fashion world. There’s something beautiful about a bow or a rosette adorning the bodice of a dress and this has to be one of our personal favourite trends of the season.

4. Midi and Maxi Skirts
It’s giving noughties in the best possible sense of the era. If you didn’t already know, consider this official notice that midi and maxi skirts are back in style. Right in time for the warmer seasons, skirts are quickly becoming a recurring purchase in wardrobes across the world. Skirts are extremely versatile and work as focal pieces or as complementary additions to your overall ensemble. Trust us, get yourself the perfect skirt to match the dreamy summer days ahead.

5. Mixing Metals
The joke is on us. What was once a big fashion taboo is now one of the biggest cool-girl aesthetics. Mixing metals is no longer a big style don’t, so get your gold, silver and maybe even your rose gold accessories and pair them together. Accessorising your outfits can take an outfit from basic to stylish with just a few pieces of jewellery. All the important fashion it girls are layering their jewellery and so are we. It’s a quick style hack and we are more than happy to announce that accessories are back in vogue.
