With another lockdown looming and our services not able to be extended to our clients physically, we are going to discuss a little about what it means to detox your wardrobe and the great benefits of such. There will be a follow up of our 5 step rule of what to keep in mind when detoxing your wardrobe - this will help you to keep these tips in mind at all times and if needs be, to revert back to us for help.

The importance of detoxing your wardrobe as we perceive it is vital, the reason being that we do not want to become “compulsive hoarders” especially when it comes to clothing or items that we no longer need, want and in some cases ever use. We understand that as individuals we do have a psychological and emotional attachment to our possessions, which makes it harder for us to deter away from those possession and get rid of them. Besides the psychological point of that, on the physical point of wanting to have your wardrobe looking “amazing, great, beautiful” or having a “WOW factor” you will also need to start to get into the habit of organizing/reorganizing your wardrobe as often as possible. This is important to know, because it is not about just ridding your items but looking after your wardrobe and having it look the way you want it as a whole, long term.

The benefits of detoxing your wardrobe is that, it leaves you feeling less cluttered and more at peace with what almost feels like a weight that’s been lifted off your shoulders. How often do you go into or walk past your wardrobe and feel as though you detest it? If your answer is often to a lot, our advice to you is to tackle sections of your wardrobe bit by bit. We do not advice for you to tackle it all at once as it can be overwhelming and become a chore rather than an enjoyable experience. Above all, for those who love shopping to have more room to add nicer and newer items. You also want to be able to continue to refresh your style and wardrobe (depending on what that is) without feeling that you continuing to load more items in your wardrobe without any sense of direction as to when you will be wearing them or if you will use them again.

Though we are here to help you along the way we also want to help you benefit by educating and giving you helpful tips that will make the transition easier for you. As mentioned before we will be following up with our 5 step rule and hope you find that post even more helpful. Keep a look out for our next post.
